Our Therapeutic Stories
Mind Chapters includes a series of gentle, story-led books designed to help children explore their inner world through imagination, reflection, and connection. Therapeutic stories help children make sense of their thoughts, feelings, and experiences in a safe and gentle way. Through characters and metaphors, children can explore emotions at a distance, making it easier to relate these stories to their own lives. This approach is especially valuable for children who find it difficult or overwhelming to talk about their feelings, as the stories validate their experiences and create a safe space for understanding and reflection.

Each story in our book series - available for purchase by parents and teachers - invites children into a carefully crafted narrative where thoughts, feelings, and experiences are shown rather than explained. By following characters as they navigate everyday challenges, children are encouraged to notice emotions, think about what they can do with them, and practise ways to respond, regulate or increase understanding.
The series is connected by a small group of children from the Mind Chapters coaching workbook, who appear at the beginning and end of each book to share why the story matters to them. These peer reflections create a sense of continuity and offer a calm space to pause and think without turning the story into a lesson.
The Mind Chapters series can be enjoyed on their own at home or in classrooms. They are also used alongside a story-based wellbeing coaching workbook, which is used by Mind Chapters coaches during one-to-one sessions and group workshops. In these settings, children explore similar themes through real-life experiences, discussion, and guided reflection, supported by a trained facilitator.
Some families first meet Mind Chapters through the book series, while others encounter the stories through coaching or workshops. However they are used, stories remain at the heart of the work — supporting children to develop emotional awareness, resilience, and confidence, one chapter at a time.
